These are the turns owner Jeff Nootenboom gives Rock Creek customers:
- Take NW 185th Ave south to Walker Rd.
- Turn left onto Walker Rd and drive east.
- Turn right on Murray Blvd.
- Turn left on SW Canyon Rd.
- Pass SW Hocken Ave, where the Kaady Car Wash is on your left. We are just past Hocken, on the left side.

Where is Rock Creek, Oregon?
Rock Creek has never become a city. It is a Washington County community that sits just north of Highway 26. Census maps spell it as a single word, Rockcreek. The name comes from Rock Creek itself, a stream that runs through on its way to the Tualatin River.
The Census Bureau counts it as a census-designated place, and the county runs local government. Hillsboro borders it on the south and west, and Cornelius Pass Road forms part of the western edge. The 2020 census counted 9,862 residents. Its parks belong to the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District.
What do we see most from the 97229 ZIP code?
Rock Creek shares 97229 with Bethany and Cedar Mill, and it is one of our busier ZIP codes. A few cars from it come through our bays in a typical week. After routine maintenance, brake work is the job we do most for these drivers.
Honda, Toyota and Subaru are the top makes. The most common models are the Honda CR-V, Toyota Sienna, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry and Subaru Forester. Plenty of those are family haulers, and a loaded minivan or crossover works its brakes harder than a light commuter car. We check brakes at no charge with a free brake inspection, and the report shows your pad thickness with photos.
What if the repair takes all day?
Ask for a free loaner car. Fifteen to twenty minutes each way is a long round trip to make twice in one day. Loaners cost nothing to use. They usually go to customers whose car will be with us for most of the day. Bring a valid driver’s license and auto insurance that covers the loaner car. Loaners are subject to availability, so call 503-626-4810 when you book to reserve one.
Before any work starts, the technician sends a digital inspection with photos to your phone. You approve each repair from there.
From the Shop Floor: An Optima With Brake Noise
A 2017 Kia Optima with about 147,000 miles came in from the 97229 ZIP with brake and suspension noises. Rob Lamont replaced the front rotors and pads, which came to about $630. The owner also had the rear brakes serviced and the serpentine belt replaced the same visit.
Real invoice, November 2025. Your price depends on your car and parts. We give you a written estimate before any work starts.
