- Drive Canyon west, away from Portland.

- Look right. The shop comes up just after Cedar Hills Blvd, on the right side.
- Turn into our lot. Parking is out front, with room for plenty of cars.
There is no freeway on this route. If you live near Canyon, you drive one road from your door to ours.

West Slope is not a city of its own. The Census Bureau tracks it as a census-designated place in Washington County, and the 2020 count was 7,223 people. Mail goes to the 97225 ZIP code.
It sits just south of Highway 26, with Cedar Hills to the west and Raleigh Hills to the southeast. Most students attend Beaverton schools, but a northwest corner belongs to Portland Public Schools. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue answers its fire and medical calls.

From the Shop Floor: A RAV4 That Planned Ahead
A 2008 Toyota RAV4 with 227,456 miles came in from West Slope in July for a free brake inspection. Senior technician Rob Lamont measured the front pads at 4 mm, photographed them, and put the number on the report: not urgent that week, but front brakes soon. The owner took the report home and planned around it. Eight weeks later the RAV4 came back and Rob did the job: new front pads, with the original rotors resurfaced on our in-house lathe because they still had the thickness for it. The brake job came to about $350, and the car went home the same day.
That is what a measurement and a photo are for. Nobody had to decide anything on the spot, and nobody paid for rotors that did not need replacing.
