MotorCar Doctors stands behind the quality of our work. Repairs performed at our shop are protected by a 36 Month / 36,000 Mile Nationwide Warranty — and where a part is a wear item rather than a defect risk, we cover it under our own terms instead.
That’s the whole structure, and it’s worth understanding before the details:
- The nationwide warranty is the default — 36 months / 36,000 miles on the repairs it covers, honored across the country.
- Wear items get our own coverage, because a defects warranty doesn’t help you when the answer is simply miles: lifetime brake pads, lifetime clutch kit parts, 1 year / 12,000 miles on new rotors, and 2 years / 24,000 miles on brake and clutch work.

Nationwide Auto Repair Warranty
MotorCar Doctors provides a 36 Month / 36,000 Mile Nationwide Warranty through the Worldpac Professional Automotive Community (PAC) program. It protects parts and labor on qualifying repairs, and it’s honored at participating repair facilities throughout the United States and Canada — not just here in Beaverton.
Coverage includes:
- Parts and labor on qualifying repairs
- Coverage honored nationwide through PAC-participating repair shops
- Protection for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first
Trip Interruption Reimbursement
If a covered repair fails while you’re more than 100 miles from home and you need an overnight stay, the program reimburses eligible meal and lodging expenses — up to $250, one claim per 12 months. Keep your receipts and your original repair invoice.
What the Nationwide Warranty Does Not Cover
This is the part worth understanding, because it’s what our own warranties are built around: the nationwide warranty covers defects in parts and workmanship — not normal wear and tear. Brake pads and rotors wearing out through normal use are wear items, which is exactly why we offer our own coverage on them (below).
Also excluded: tires and batteries, used or salvaged parts, customer-supplied parts, routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid changes and flushes, internally lubricated engine and transmission components, and damage from abnormal use, neglect, accident or alteration. Warranty repair costs cannot exceed the cost of the original repair.
How to Use It
Keep your original repair invoice — you’ll need it. If you’re within 25 miles of our shop, bring the vehicle back to us. If you’re farther away and can’t reasonably return, call the warranty administrator at 1-866-541-9805 (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday) before any warranty repair is performed, and they’ll direct you to the nearest participating facility.
Brake Warranty
Brakes get their own terms, because brakes wear — and a warranty against defects doesn’t help you when the issue is simply miles.
Lifetime Brake Pad Warranty
The brake pads we install on qualifying brake services are covered for as long as you own the vehicle. When they wear out, the replacement pads are free and you pay only the standard labor to install them. There’s no mileage limit and no expiry — you should never buy brake pads for that vehicle again.
Coverage applies to the original vehicle owner, on qualifying brake pad services using our parts or the parts we recommend, with the service we recommend.
Brake Repair Warranty — 2 Years / 24,000 Miles
All brake repairs are covered against defects in parts and workmanship for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first. We set that term deliberately: it’s the period we can stand behind fully, and we’d rather state a number we’ll honor than a longer one with more conditions attached to it.
New Rotor Warranty — 1 Year / 12,000 Miles
New brake rotors we install are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles against defects. Rotors are a wear item — they’re machined by braking, every time you brake — so this is our own coverage rather than part of the nationwide program.
Brake Warranty Exclusions
- Brake calipers
- Brake hardware components
- Brake fluid services
- Vehicles used for racing or severe-duty applications
- Damage caused by neglected brake systems, or by abuse
Labor for brake pad replacement under the lifetime pad warranty is charged at standard rates, as noted above.
Clutch Replacement Warranty
MotorCar Doctors is known for clutch replacement expertise, and clutch work carries its own coverage rather than the standard nationwide terms.
Lifetime Parts Coverage
The clutch kit components we install — the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing and pilot bearing — are covered for as long as you own the vehicle. When they wear out, the replacement clutch kit parts are free; you pay only the labor to install them. There’s no mileage limit and no expiry. It works the same way as our lifetime brake pad warranty, and it stays in force with the free six-month clutch inspection described below.
2 Year / 24,000 Mile Parts and Labor Coverage
If a clutch kit fails within 2 years or 24,000 miles, we provide the replacement parts and the installation labor at no cost.
Hydraulic Clutch Components
Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder components carry a 1 year / 12,000 mile parts and labor warranty.
Maintenance Requirement
To keep clutch warranty coverage active, bring the vehicle in for a free clutch inspection and adjustment every 6 months. There’s no mileage condition — just the six-month visit, and it costs you nothing.
Clutch Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover failures caused by abuse, neglect, improper vehicle use, or severe-duty operation.

The nationwide coverage travels with you. A repair done here is honored at participating shops across the United States and Canada for 36 months or 36,000 miles — so a breakdown far from home isn’t automatically your problem to solve alone.
And the terms we set ourselves are the ones we can honor completely. Brake and clutch work is covered for 2 years / 24,000 miles rather than longer, because that’s the period we can stand behind without conditions we’d have to explain away later. Where a part wears rather than fails — brake pads, clutch kit parts — we cover it for as long as you own the vehicle instead.
